A water ionizer is an appliance that filters and ionizes water.
Ionization is the physical process of converting an atom or
molecule into an ion by changing the difference between the number of protons
and electrons.
How it works:
The water enters the ionizer chamber and undergoes the process of electrolysis
or ionization. In this process, the negative electrodes attract the positive
alkaline minerals, were as the positive electrodes attract the negative acid
minerals to their compartment. Alkaline water flows out from the Ionizer’s
top outlet, and acid water from the bottom.This process causes approximately
70% of the water flowing into the ionizer to become OH- (alkaline water) were
as approximately 30% of the water is converted to OH+ (acidic water).
Alkaline water contains the minerals essential to our health. Moreover, it has
all the natural benefits of water and it also enhances the tastes of food and
so it is used for cooking and drinking.
Acid water on the other hand can be used in place of hydrogen peroxide and vinegar,
e.g. for washing vegetables. It has a shortage of electrons giving it the ability
