5000 Water Ionizer model is designed for countertop applications and is constructed with two built in pre-filters that total 12 stages of filtration. Arsenic Removal

Our media is made up of spherical, gel coated iron particles that have been specifically designed with a large amount of void space between beads leading to very low pressure loss, typically less than 5 psi. Arsenate ions exchanged into our media first enter the gel coating. The arsenic is exposed to and immobilized by the iron and immediately precipitates onto the iron, thus leaving the resin free to react with more arsenic while the iron boung arsenic remains trapped inside.

The media will also remove anions such as nitrates, uranium and chromate. The media operates in waters with a pH range of six (6) to nine (9). This product is very environmentally friendly and super economical. The media does not require backwashing.

Iron Reduction

Our Iron Removal Media is based on a new Technology. In this process, the chemical structure of iron in the water is changed. This technology is so effective that it required a contact time of only seconds.

The Media must be used in a downflow system. The Iron Ions are Oxidized in Seconds and trapped in the underbed. The underbed must be backwashed with regular well water without any chemicals or salt. The Iron Removal Media is very efficient.

HYDROGEN SULFIDE

ETW’s HSR H2S removal is the most effective media for the reduction of hydrogen sulfide from water supplies. HSR H2S removal can reliably remove Hydrogen Sulfide up to 25 ppm. Low oxygen levels, interfering ion and pH have no significant effect on the performance of the HR H2S removal media. The media is very light and requires no regeneration, only backwashing. The advantage of this media is the short contact time and the small amount of media needed.

The hydrogen sulfide is reduced catalytically to an insoluble sulfur precipitate. These precipitates create particles up to 0.1 to 1.0 mm, depending on the amount of hydrogen sulfide present in the water. The precipitates are tapped in the underbed and easily removed during backwashing. Backwashing occurs with regular well water. The H2S removal media is very efficient.

Chlorine Removal

Its main advantages is it removes organic compounds and chlorinated organic substances by adsorption, increase in capture capacity of pollutants by in-depth filtration & combine with fine grain materials to improve filtrate quality.

The system works great on typical municipal tap water disinfected with chlorine and ammonia including Tri-Halo-Methanes and Chloramines. It also works on ground, well and surface water.
